Noted Favorites: On Beauty

Some of you that have been following for sometime have jokingly
made comments that it seems I am aging backwards. I only hope?

Having the most current and effective products arrive at my doorstep weekly also does not hurt!

First is my new favorite PureProC developed by a New England company and team of scientists from Silk Therapeutics, Inc who have been working on these game changers for over twenty years!

Noted Favorites: Fashion, Beauty & Decor

iPhone case via Nasty Gal, Glam Glow Power Mud Dual Cleanse Tx via Sephora

Ever in the process of decorating or revamping my wardrobe, my wishlist is like
a revolving door of rich leathers, rustic decor and whimsical accessories.

This Mansur Gavriel tote is the epitome of understated elegance (available via Steven Alan) while this whimsical Ecote Frances Bubble Dress could easily double for date night or a beach day.

My decor tastes errs mainly on the rustic side and though I have one of these Milk Crates I am constantly finding ways to re-purpose them for storage or displays around the house.

Honorable Mention..

Those Limited Pink Chiffon Slit Wide Leg pants are perfect as a cover-up alternative while the studded Sam Edelman Ollie's are a great deal easier on my wallet than the coveted Valentinos!

What is currently on your wishlist?

Summer Hair, Truly Me with Pantene

Summer months can be a bit tricky on your hair with heat, humidity
and sun exposure wreaking havoc on each delicate cuticle.

Growing up as a woman of color in a predominantly Caucasian town and school, I was often aware of the outward difference between myself and my classmates. My hair being one of the most glaring.

At sleepaway camp while girls were sharing bottles of shampoo, I knew that was not an option for me as my hair requires intense hydration.

So when companies expand their horizons, whether it be a cosmetics brand creating a wider variety of shades for women of all ethnic backgrounds or in this case, hair care - I am always encouraged and excited to test them out.

Pantene sent me their recently released line of Pro-V Truly Relaxed products for African American women with chemically relaxed hair. Each are formulated to provide gentle cleansing to protect our unique hair type from breakage.

After using the products for several weeks (heavily favoring the Oil Creme Moisturizer that has Coconut and Jojoba Oil for daily styling) my hair continues to maintain a healthy sheen.

Pantene also offers a line Truly Natural products for women of color that embrace their natural hair texture, also preventing the stripping away of natural moisture.

What daily hair woes do you battle with?

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective

Scenes from My Weekend

Last week I sat on a panel for Emerson's
Fashion Society w/ Courtney, Jaime & Kristen.
I wore that fun dress by Milly & went for tapas prior to the event at Masa in the South End
with Andrae. After we went to Tico and met up with our friends for drinks.

Life As of Late

I was generously sent samples of the 5-product Radiance skincare line by
Bona Clara,  specifically geared to women in their twenties.
Already obsessed with the gentle yet effective cleanser.

(Ladies: there are also lines for those in their 30s, 40s and 50s!)

About 80% of my coworkers are male and I often come into work to be surprised
by a delicious breakfast sandwich, vegetables from their gardens or candy.

A little golden glamour for my ears.

You'll never guess where I found this incredibly comfortable sweater-dress.
I lounge around in it quite often. Weekend uni.

Deliciously comfortable Sporto boots with a sensible rubber bottom but
gorgeous blue pattern that is not quite visible from this view.
There is something so incredibly significant going on in my life right now but
I am a little afraid to dare to mention it (though I am not superstitious.)

I cannot wait to share, literally bursting from excitement!

How is your week progressing and
 what do you have planned?
