Fraiche Food Friday: Recent Eats

Hot & Sour Soup from a recent lunch at Uncle Cheung's.
A restaurant for which I had read decent reviews and meant to try for myself.
This soup was a delicious way to begin the meal.

Our lunch specials were accompanied with a side of fried rice (with brown as an option which I politely declined) and egg roll. Both equally delicious.

I ordered the General Gaus per usual and it was pretty darn close to perfect with
lots of extra sauce, something I see as a necessity.

My dining companion sampled the Emerald Chicken.
Coupling the right amount of fiery spice with a savory precursor, this was
a dish we both enjoyed immensely.

Other than that I have been eating incredibly clean, a diet of mainly raw foods
during my training. I am toying with the idea of running a half marathon and eventually,
the Boston Marathon - health allowing.

All of my New Englanders out there being pummeled by snow, be safe
and have a wonderful weekend!

What was your favorite meal of the week!?

Happies:

 1. It is finally Friday and I was proactive in cleaning/laundry so more of my time can be spent relaxing.
2. I was pretty diligent with my workout this week, 3 out of 5 isn't bad as long as I hop on the elliptical at home Saturday!
3.  The snow really isn't that bad and I got into work safely.
4. I purchased an adorable new piece of Boston Inspired art. I cannot wait for it to arrive so that I may share it with you!
5. I had an incredibly productive week at both work and with my freelance projects.
6. I also got an incredibly cute manicure yesterday. So cute that the owner of the salon asked if she could photograph it to put on her new website.

Crappies:

1. The sore throat that arrived two days ago which I was trying to slow down with lots of Vitamin C and extra sleep has turned into a tickle and slight cough. I think it will be fine by tomorrow though. Lots of fruits, vegetables, vitamins and sleep tonight!
2. All of this snow may delay a few of my deliveries that I need for a brunch I am hosting :-/

That's about it for the Crappies because I do not like to focus on negatives,
each can usually be flipped with a bit of effort.

  5. This looks so yummy but I hate when everything is drowning in sauce. It makes it too heavy for me. I suppose I could ask for it on the side but I feel like they always stare at me if I do. :)
